What sort of adaptors do I need to install the automatic lubricator?
The Type 125 lubricator has 1/4” NPT threading. You can use the following reduction pieces:
1/4” NPTF × 1/8” NPTM
1/4” NPTF × 3/8” NPTM
1/4” NPTF × M 10x1
1/4” NPTF × M 8x1
1/4” NPTF × M 6x1
How long do the batteries last?
The 2 batteries have an approximately capacity of 2800 milli-amps. Our lubrication dispenser uses 285 milli-amps per year. After the maximum lubricator setting of 18 months, 80% of the battery remains unused.
Are the lubricators refillable?
No, since the electrochemical reaction uses up the gas generating material.
Are the units waterproof?
Yes, provided that the switch panel cap is properly in place.
Should I check on the lubricators once they are installed?
Yes, routine visual inspections of lubricators and operating equipment are a critical component of good preventative maintenance. The transparent lubricant reservoir allows for a visual check of the piston moving down and dispensing lubricant.
What is the function of the indicator light?
The indicator light provides a visual check that the electrical system is functioning properly. The light blinks every 10 seconds in a well functioning unit. Should the light stay on, the electrical system may be malfunctioning and the lubricator unit should be replaced.
Can the lubricator be temporarily turned off during down-time?
Yes, the automatic lubricators can be turned off at any time by setting all DIP switches to the off (bottom) position. To restart, turn DIP switches back to desired output setting.
Is it possible to synchronize the lubricator with machine running time?
Yes, a special unit with wire connectors for machine interlock control is available. Please inquire.
